New EVN-BEY Direct Flight: All You Need To Know

Armenia Aircompany will start regular direct flights to Beirut Rafik Hariri International Airport starting April 3, 2017.

Lebanon has a big Armenian community. The Beirut-Yerevan route has always been a highly demanded one, specially in summer. After the closure of Armavia airline, there were no direct flights between the countries, until the MEA (Middle East Airlines) launched its flights to Yerevan. Currently, the only direct flight to Yerevan is operated by the MEA. Of course, there are many other airlines flying to Yerevan from Beirut, but they all have connecting flights.

The New Airline
Armenia AirCompany is an Armenian airline based in Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan. It was founded by Robert Hovhannisyan and Tamaz Gaiashvili (founder of Georgian Airways & former chairperson). Ownership of the company is distributed as follows: Ashot Torosyan 51%, Tamaz Gaiashvili 25%, and Robert Hovhannisyan 24%.

Price
Armenia Aircompany's General Sales Agent is selling its tickets for 380 USD for April and May, including transportation from its office in Bourj Hammoud to the airport. However, if you book it on the company's website, it will cost you more. It turned out that the 380 USD tickets are promo-price tickets that can only be bought from their offices in Bourj Hammoud or Talina Travel in Yerevan. After April and May, the pricing will start from 380 USD for the economy class.
